  1. People speak of using dosing RODS. But once, long ago, I saw someone use tree branches. I believe they were willow, because they were very flexible. They were crooked and bent a bit, but not at any particular angle. When the spot with water was located, the branches bent as if reaching for it.

  2. I've seen it done, a long time ago, with tree branches. Willow, I believe. They were not perfectly shaped "L", but when the right spot was found, the branches would bend, as if being pulled by the water source
