  2. Round up started its purpose as a herbicide. It stops the plant's (weed) photosynthesis cycle. But within fairly recent years, some farmers are also spraying it on their healthy grain fields, right before harvest, to essentially kill / "ripen" the entire field at once, so it can be harvested easier. I've heard many Ag people and farmers discuss it but I have never witnessed it. If this is true, then it explains why Roundup is showing up in the harvested food. When used to kill weeds, it's applied BETWEEN the rows of grain (yes, I know there can be some drift). But if it's being applied purposefully to kill the grain before harvest, there would be no time for the Roundup to fade, to be diluted in the rain, etc. And it is the FOOD being sprayed. Not the rows between the food.

  3.  @theeggtimertictic1136  not sure if used for corn. I've heard many people claim used for wheat, barly, oats, etc. Might explain why so many people are suddenly "gluten intolerant"- maybe they are reactive to the RU!

  5.  @theeggtimertictic1136  yes, modern sprayers are very precise, especially if the tractor Itself is GPS driven. The computer controls everything. Program it to remember the sequence in seed planting, and you've got a "map" of the field for it to replay. The seeds are "Roundup ready" seeds, so if they get a bit of over spray, they won't die. But the spray itself is very precise. Organic farmers often use "weed flamers" which are huge implements with many LP-fueled flames that are positioned between rows. Burn the weeds between the rows, not the plant next to it. My husband hand built 2 of these machines. 32 tongues of fire to pull down the rows and burn the weeds only.
