Comments by "Sergey Bebenin" (@sergeybebenin) on "What is the role of Nato in the Russia-Ukraine crisis? - BBC News" video.
It's impossible to be "alone" and have a normal life. Russia is an empire that only wants to expand. Baltic states and other Soviet block countries that joined NATO, today live a good life without a worry of any attacks from Russia. This translates to healthy economies and happy people. This is what Ukraine wants and has every humane right to have it.

@sonradanfransiz By the way, thank you for supporting Ukraine. I don't know what side you specifically are on (or just neutral) but your country is doing a lot to help Ukraine in these difficult times.

@jakesmall8875 Ukraine is not in NATO only because of political decision "not to piss off Russia". There are countries in NATO that meet less NATO standards than Ukraine, have nearly totalitarian regimes and corruption.

@bachelor3846 Turkey - huge military but not exactly "democratic". Albania - not exactly an etalon of corruption-free society. Bulgaria - at the time of acceptance met about as many NATO standards as Ukrainian army did in 2013. Thing is, Ukraine is not just in NATO.... Ukraine hasn't even been granted MAP. Surely MAP could be granted to actually help Ukraine meet those mysterious "demands" faster. German hypocrites are aligned with Russia and openly state they don't want to see Ukraine in NATO. Just one example

@jakesmall8875 Turkey is actually one of few most important pieces in NATO. It'd be a huge loss if "kicking out" was even possible

@nakkabadz6443 It's not. Baltic NATO states are even closer to "strategic" Moscow and St. Petersburg. And NATO has never started a war with a neighbor or occupy - it's a proven defensive alliance. Russia is polar opposite and it's only natural for neighbors wanting to join NATO. In fact, joining NATO will ensure peace in the entire region because Russia won't attack a member. History speaks for itself. Ukraine was a neutral state until russian occupation (even about a year in). Georgia was a neutral country. Moldova too.

@nakkabadz6443 Huh? What are you even talking about? Are you some newcomer military analyst with a new theory? 🤦♂️ NATO countries have all they need to have a happy life and all decisions are made collectively. Russia is a poor country with imperialistic views (a lot of Russians view Ukraine as part of Russia... Even top ranking officials). So who is going to attack? An alliance of happy nations (just to ruin their lives) or a crazy and poor maniac state run by a dictator?

@nakkabadz6443 I'm from Ukraine and know what's going on inside out. I don't watch CNN. You on the other hand are clearly getting your information from some very questionable sources.

@nakkabadz6443 What protest? Can you speak clearly?
