Exactly. And RF also officially (as in, ratified) recognized Ukrainian internationally recognized borders. Ukraine needs guarantees from NATO, nothing else will work.

@branimirsalevic5092 I suggest you look up the definition of coup d'etat. Come back once you do.. ok?
9
@NixUgriBugri good point. And they actually PASSED A LAW just a year or 2 ago specifically stating that if an international agreement/law no longer meets their interests then they can ignore it
6
@iandavies6575 which part of Minsk did Ukraine "break". Refer to it
5
@donzell1945 no, Ukraine never signed anything stating that it'll never join any military alliance. And after the 2014 annexation of Crimea, it'd be irrelevant anyway
5
@ajsala7805 1. Try English next time. 2. NATO expanded in Finland and Sweden. Russia doesn't look concerned at all even though it's like an hour drive from Finland to russias second capital, st. Petersburg. Basically a long range ARTILLERY distance. 3. When russia annexed Crimea and occupied Eastern Ukraine in 2014, there wasn't even a hint of NATO in Ukraine and NATO never even invited Ukraine.

@louisecorchevolle9241 I stopped reading after you said borders weren't ratified and Sevastopol was part of russia. Historicly documented facts are very stubborn, bud. January 28, 2003. Putin himself signed it AND Duma ratified it. It's a fact and there's nothing really else I can or should add. It's like 2 plus 2 equals 4.

@Nabbington-fn8ng nope. Back in 2014 vast majority of Ukrainians were against NATO and it's a documented fact anyone can check. In 2014 Ukraine simply wanted to have a tighter trade deal with EU. Nothing more, nothing less. NATO wasn't even a topic because everything was strictly about the economy. Only in late 2014 (almost 2015), Ukraine officially recorded in the constitution that the goal is to join NATO. For obvious reasons. NATO ALWAYS says that the door is open to everyone. This is their policy as has been stated countless times. At the same time, German and French leaders were always against Ukraine joining, hence there was no path-to-membership offer. German counselor even said (after she left the office) that she made it clear behind closed doors to all sides that Ukraine will never be admitted. It's not me saying it. It's what Merkel said.

@buixote Minsk? Ukraine even passed a law for "special status" of the occupied regions. Passed it under huge protests in front of parliament. What did russia do per Minsk agreement?
2
@louisecorchevolle9241 🤡 borders (including Crimea) were ratified by RF on January 28 2003. Ironically, the same Kremlin midget signed it first, before RF government ratified it. It's an indisputable historically documented fact anyone can look up.
2
@iandavies6575 Ukraine took the first step by passing the law that granted special status to the occupied territories. What did russia do per Minsk agreement? Why do I have to repeat my questions? It takes 2 to dance.
2
@djh-yh6xq yeah, because a movie sponsored by kremlin is the historic truth 🤣🤦♂️
2
@stephenhill545 he'll respond with something like "it was all paid by USA". But there's a good comeback question - if Maidan was paid, why didn't russia just drop off x2 more whatever USA paid and make pro-russian Maidan? 🤣. Heck, make it x20 more or even x100 more. It'd still be cheaper than what they've suffered since.

@cornellhoward3757 Ukraine wasn't invited to NATO and vast vast majority of Ukrainians were against NATO prior 2014 annexation and occupation of Ukrainian territories. Indisputable fact, bud. NATO actually expanded in the north via Finland and Sweden. Finland is an article shot distance from the second russian capital - St. Petersburg. but wait... russia doesn't have any concerns. ..I wonder why. Ukraine is still neutral by the way. I guess I have to remind you of that
2
@VltzV 🤦♂️🤣 yanukovich is one man that ran away to russia. How exactly did "West" make it happen? So called LDNR were occupied Ukrainian territories after Crimea was already annexed. Get it? Ukrainian territories were annexed and occupied going back to early spring of 2014
2
1 to 50. Why not go all the way when making up trash?
1
@branimirsalevic5092 no, copy paste the definition of what you claim - coup d'etat. Patiently waiting to see how you try to connect the definition to what actually took place
1
@bogi9358 Ukraine already was neutral when Crimea was annexed and Eastern Ukraine occupied. We all know how it ended. Ukraine is actually dejure and defacto still neutral
1
@branimirsalevic5092 bud, copy paste the definition of what you claimed took place (you claimed cope d'etat). Patiently waiting. Yanukovich and his gov. were elected because they promised EU integration. It's an indisputable fact. He cancelled this plan after meeting putin at the very last moment (literally days before signing the EU agreement). He was given a $3b bribe for this and turned dictator when Ukrainians went to protest this canceled EU deal. In Ukrainian constitution it literally states that Ukrainian citizens are the source of power so his dictatorship actions were illegal. Lastly, he wasn't overthrown. He was kidnapped/evacuated by russia. If he feels like he did nothing wrong, he'd run to where everyone else is running for asylum - EU or USA. But anyway, I'm patiently waiting for the above-mentioned definition...
1
@louisecorchevolle9241 English please
1
@poldeprah7671 🤣 yeah the same person cursing russia in 2022 and then following her boss Medvechuk (putin's buddy) to russia 🤦♂️
1
@ViewerFromLA 😳 Ukraine got independence in 1991, bud. Same as modern day RF. There were zero preconditions. Patiently waiting for you to point me to documents you are talking about
