That's what USSR used to say, literally. We all know how it ended. This episode is only about sanctions that RUSSIA came up with, not Western sanctions. This is only to supply frigging food for own people LOL. The worst sanctions are restrictions on "technology" and "finances". Russia can't substitute these.

@MayankSingh-qg4zv Anything can happen in 10 years... At today's rate it's like 100 years in middle ages. Heck, with all the recent tech advancements in USA you can't be so sure about what you said. One thing for sure though - can't advance your economy/country under sanctions.

@MayankSingh-qg4zv Sure. But anyway you twist it, USA and China need each other. USA as a biggest consumer at the very least. What is Russia to China? Nothing but a potential land to expand to (already "leased" huge chunks of land). Russia as a consumer is nothing to China. Heck, many Chinese provinces have bigger economy than entire Russia. Don't forget that Russia is only big on territory. The population is miniscule in comparison and they don't produce anything special that someone else wants. It's basically energy (and using Western technology) which is simply extracting what nature made - doesn't take a talant. And, weapons (not the best by far, just cheap). Sanctions surely aren't gonna make the situation better

@MayankSingh-qg4zv Why in the world would China partner with Iran? If anything China consistently stays out of this "middle east" mess (you can add Pakistan in the same group). Same for Venezuela. Again, based on recent history, China is neutral on any issues re. countries you mentioned. China hasn't been involved in any "world conflicts" in modern history, unlike USA/Russia. Just looking at facts and I don't see why China should change it's course. Why? If everything is going so well (even according to you), why would China start making alliances with countries that are "conflicting" with USA? Because of idiot Trump? LOL. This is not Russia - Trump won't be in the office like Putin (pretty much for life). Anyway, this can go on forever. I said everything I wanted to say.

The list is not long and whatever is on the list is not something "must have" to get by. That's precisely why Russian economy is as "big" as NY State's economy (pretty much NY City and a handful of other cities). That's precisely why valuation of ALL Russian companies combined is less than Apple or Amazon or probably Google too. Your "highly reliable and quality" weapons are so reliable that India just cancelled contract for jet fighters, own military decided not to proceed with next gen. fighter (lack of experience and Western components) and cancelled your famous Armata tank program. Oh, did I forget to mention your only aircraft carrier running on what looks like coal and now sitting under a wrecked crane because the dry dock sunk LOL.
