How did it go being an isolationist during WW1 and WW2? Also, what do you suggest for those "living paycheck to paycheck"? I mean, let's say this 95b was not allocated to replenish USA military stocks (for the most part) with modern weapons... Are you suggesting sending checks to "people living from paycheck to paycheck"? USA isn't some socialist utopia, bud. Statistics say that 55-60 percent live paycheck to paycheck. Divide this aid package by the population living paycheck to paycheck and you get a one-time handout of about $550. Whooptie Doo - solves nothing domestically. It's a car/gas payment for a month. This help to Ukraine is a net positive for USA. Arms sales are going through the roof, people being employed, etc etc.

@danlee1835 from taxes... Which come from salaries and corporations' operations... Which come from having orders... Which comes (in part) from selling arms and ammunition. And of course from the overall economic stability of the USA/Europe partnership (43 and 30 percent of GDP respectively). And of course Ukraine is in Europe... In fact, the biggest state and one with the biggest population. How's this riddle for ya? Isn't that difficult to close the loop, is it? This package is a rounding mistake in the grand scheme of things. All you have to do is use your 🧠 power to connect more than 2 dots at a time.

@danlee1835 "printed" money is for programs that don't have any ROI. I just explained to you in the most basic terms how this is all connected and there is an ROI on helping defend Europe. I didn't even mention side effects... One example is enormous, long term LNG deals USA made with Europe thanks to Europe cutting ties with Russian gas. These deals are worth a trillion(s) of dollars over the next decades and again, bring jobs to the USA.

@TheOne-xu5oy 🤦♂️ Europe/NATO and other USA allies are BUYING USA arms and ammunition. BUYING is the key word. This isn't a secret, anyone can look up that right now this sector is booming. This means steady employment in this enormous industrial complex. This means Americans have money to spend, this means the economy is booming. Oh by the way, have you even checked the latest economy stats? Clearly not. Record stock market numbers, job growth more than anticipated and lowest unemployment rate since like 60s or 70s. "Should be lumped with"? And why in the world would you do that after the verifiable facts I just laid out? As in - this aid is a net positive for the economy. Who said it's "unnecessary" when in fact it's a positive effect on the USA economy?

@GetPregnantGetPregnant Are you thick? Read again what I said. I don't care if you don't have enough brain power to comprehend dependencies and cause/effect

@SashCohen-t5z no, it's your "logic". Don't put words into my mouth. I explained in basic terms (using verifiable facts) how the European economy is intertwined with the American economy. And I explained how "staying out" from European wars ended up biting America later on. It happened EVERY time there was a major war. And today it's another major war - the biggest war since WW2. Common sense is your friend

@SashCohen-t5z I can't believe I took the bait from a 1mo old account with a randomly generated alias. Shame on me lol

@Raise_the__bar huh? What does it have to do with what I'm saying here? I've been living in the USA since 1994.
