  5. Vinnie Sifter You can deny the Earth is round but it doesn't change anything. Google Assistant has "routines" where you can create custom commands. Yes flexibility isn't 100% but nevertheless, you can customize commands OR put your faith in best AI assistant there is.

  6. I don't see what's different here in terms of privacy. If you don't think cameras are watching your every step at Walmart (just an example), you are very naive. What I don't like is that Alexa is actively being built into more and more products. Hopefully this doesn't spread because I'll have less and less choices. I don't want Alexa in anything I own

  14. I'm all for "pushing technology forward" but I hate hypocrisy. When some other OEM is "pushing" (OLED, NFC, curved screen, etc), Apple dismisses it and often puts it down.

  30. Every time I turn on my Jbird they also always connect. I don't get his "always connects" comment. The case is pointless. I'm not gonna carry it everywhere I go... especially for a run, etc. I want to just hang my headphones on my neck (like Jbird) and charge directly without any accessory (case). and they last 7hrs And obviously you can't even run with them if they fall out when you just tilt your head. horrible design.

  31. Brandon Butler​ I honestly can't think of a scenario where I need to switch between devices. I have my laptop that I don't need to connect to and my iPhone that I use with Jbird. But that's just me. Yes, it's a Windows laptop but even if it was Mac I still wouldn't want to connect to it... I'm so used to doing everything on my phone. I'll take cheaper Jbird with custom ear adapters for perfect fit (2 types of material and 3 sizes) that I can run in and hang on my neck when not in use. Better sound too (per MKBHD) and last longer. This Apple product just doesn't make sense

  40. The Verge Google Home + Nest ecosystem (not just camera) integration. Nothing else touches this combo. Yes, Nest costs more but you get what you pay for and it's silly to go cheap on smart home when I'll last a lot longer than an iPhone for example. It's still a fraction of what an iPhone costs and I don't see people complaining much about iPhones
