At least Musk and his tech buddies will become even richer from all this automation. I love how people here were cheering for Musk (doge) and now same fate is coming for many of those people who were cheering.

@Maynardd I have nothing against USAID audit. But you are conveniently ignoring all the cuts and planned cuts in the government sector as if it's so much different than layoffs in the private sector. These are all "regular" people losing jobs. If automation is "inevitable" then why not increase corporate taxes instead of giving the richest people even more money? Because they'll "create more jobs" with those tax cuts? 🤦‍♂️ This kinda reminds me of an anecdote of how a farmer was trying to train his horse not to eat. Kept giving it less and less food and it seemed to work.... for a while. I mean, how much more can the rich squeeze out of the regular folks? Edit: You brought up those $80mil? Musk made over $550mil per day in 2024.
