@Geny 🤣 russia didn't even exist back then. Ukraine to Rus is just as Italy to Roman Empire. In fact, Rusin language is still alive in Western Ukraine and it's basically 99% Ukrainian. Also you should look up history of Sudzha 😂. There's nothing russian about it

@thephoenix756 🤣 bud, anyone can look up real history. There was only one Rus... So called Kyiv Rus. And their language was Rusin language... Which is almost identical to modern day Ukrainian.

@thephoenix756 Some "settlement" doesn't matter in the context of kingdoms/empires, etc. what matters is where kingdom/empire was born and it's obviously in the heart of the modern day Ukraine. Those Scandinavian travelers obviusly weren't Slavs and obviously were not speaking Rusin language lol. If you are going to go by settlement dates, well... Trypillia goes back thousands of years BCE.

They'll start a war and occupy Ukraine

@thephoenix756 ok bud. I guess by your "logic" Rusin language and Slav ethnicity originated from Norseman travelers that established some settlement in the modern day Northwest russia 🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️ Got it 👌

@thephoenix756 LMAO you can twist it any way you want but fact is: 1. Russian language is similar to Slav languages because it is a Slav based language, NOT because of Vikings 🤦♂️. It's actually closer to Bulgarian than Rusin/Ukrainian/Polish/Belarusian. 2. Rus was a Slav "empire", not a Viking empire. Your little settlement was a Viking settlement. Facts are very stubborn.

@TheRealBillBob "cope" isn't applicable in this context. Copy/paste?

@thephoenix756 actually, it's Ukrainians, not russians. Ukrainians live on the same territory that used to be predominantly Rus territory. Kyiv was the capital. Rusin language is basically Ukrainian. These are indisputable facts. You have your own russian history and it's not my problem you are ashamed of it and can't accept it. But no matter what, you can't take away what I said because these are facts.

@thephoenix756 sure bud. I'm sure ruszo history books say that today. What happened to "kiev, mother of Russian cities"? You rewrite history so frequently that it's difficult to keep up lol
1
@thephoenix756 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ there was no RUSSIA back then! You think this settlement that has nothing to do with Rus was the only settlement in the 2000km radius?!!🤦♂️🤦♂️ Jesus Christ. Where do people like you come from? Modern day Ukrainians have lived on Rus territory for thousands of years. And once again, Kyiv was the center of Rus and this is where Rus was born
1
@thephoenix756 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ there was NO RUS then either! Rus originated in Kyiv! Jesus LMAO I never claimed Ukraine existed back then
1
@thephoenix756 this isn't me saying it... It's historic DNA proven fact "To their north, in the Ladoga and Karelia regions, were the Finnic Chur tribe." NOT modern day Ukrainians and NOT Slavs

@thephoenix756 "Rus settled" 🤣 that gotta be the new historic Discovery. I never heard of any empire/Kingdom "settling" hahaha
