Why wasn't this done last October when USA started to declare that this war is going to happen? Lots of questions to some Western allies even though the help is greatly appreciated. The problem is that Ukraine was effectively disarmed in 1994 with guarantees of territorial integrity. Well, where's the help to restore this integrity? Ukraine isn't even asking for boots on the ground.

@steve-real If you think strategically (instead of tactically), it's cheaper to "invest" in Ukrainian weapons today than let this drag on and/or let russia win. And by the way, since when is defence spending not good for business? It's actually a win-win for the USA and Ukraine. Also, Ukraine isn't even asking for brand-new weapons off the assembly line. All weapons at some point need to be disposed of due to "expiration". So give Ukraine 200 more M777 and 100 HIMARS (no big deal for USA/NATO countries) and just make yourself brand spanking-new ones. Win-win the way I see it. Unfortunately there's something else going on that's slowing/stoping it

@steve-real Well, then this world is about to enter a very lengthy (generations) period of very turbulent time. Anyone with a nuke can do whatever they want and any treaty isn't worth more than a sheet of paper it's signed on.
