Clearly this actually showed pootin that he can do whatever he wants. 2. ruSSia already dejure annexes southern Ukraine, not just Donbass. 3. Half of my family is from Donbass and we don't want to live under ruSSia. 4. It won't save lives - it'll make ruSSia feel invincible

Tsarev (Yanukovich's top "lieutenant" that ran away to ruSSia as well) just last week FINALLY disclosed that their PLAN (documented on paper) has been to cause separatism in Western Ukraine because Yanukovich was going to be a dictator for life. Basically, their plan (which is actually ruSSian plan) was to divide Ukraine. So that thing you call "coup" was actually a justified revolution by Ukrainians. And the government/military stayed in place while it was happening.
