  1. russia trains their children to be occupants. Ukraine trains their children to defend own country (on own territory) out of necessity. Not like they have a choice. Better be prepared than not

Kazakhstan and Mongolia are protected by China and russia won't dare to even try. Azerbaijan is Turkey. They even officially merged militaries. If anything, your example proves that if you are a russo neighbor, you gotta have backing from a powerful ally. Now... Look at those that did NOT have any protection. Moldova - partially occupied Georgia - partially occupied Ukraine - partially occupied and even annexed Belarus - pretty much annexed with a russo sponsored dictator in power Armenia - just announced it's leaving military alliance with russia.
