@advancedvinylrepair4319 Um no. Peoples, not people. And peoples literally implies an ethnic group. Russian ethic group has already self determined and it's called ruSSia. Don't like Ukraine - pack up and move to ruSSia and there's no war and tens of thousands (likely hundreds) are alive and happy. THIS is how it's done in a civilized world.

Lynette Agueda It's actually even simpler. Russian Federation and Ukraine are of equal age (both formed in 1991). Crimea has always been part of Ukraine and never was part of RF. In fact, RF officially recognized all Ukrainian borders. But if you want to go into details... Crimea was first part of Russian empire (like Ukraine, Poland, even Finland, etc). Then Crimea became part of Russian Republic when USSR was formed. Then Crimea was transferred to Ukrainian Republic in 1954. So in fact, Crimea has been part of Ukrainian Republic plus modern Ukraine LONGER than Russian Republic plus modern RF. Empire doesn't count.
