@JoekerDX Harris lost for multiple reasons (female being one of them), but not because she was "center". I consider myself independent, leaning towards Democrats. Voted for Harris this time simply to keep Trump away. I don't want to be forced into such a position again. From what I hear around my circle (and I agree), Trump got many swingers because of the border issue. I will never understand why Democrats don't want to stop illegal (uncontrolled) immigration. And I'm an immigrant myself (legally).

@Lewisneva something like that. Like I said, I will never understand why borders should not be secured and immigration controlled. On pretty much every other issue I'm a Democrat. Edit: and once again my previous post got removed (you saw it so you know I didn't say anything bad). Democrats just don't want to face the truth or opposing options

I voted for Harris but I don't understand your complaints. I'm from the Boston area and we have thousands of illegals living in hotels and shelters. All paid by our taxes and this is all because Democrats allowed them in. By the way. I strongly believe that Harris lost in big part because of open borders. In this case you can totally blame Trump because there have never been such abrupt policy changes with in the incoming admin. Our company put all spending on hold precisely because of his policies and many of our customers have done the same

@exiledfrommyself Have to disagree with you. I am a LEGAL immigrant (came here with my family when I was 16). The USA does have human-centered policies and compassion but it must be conducted in a legal and controlled manner! A wide open border is simply irresponsible and clearly triggers more than just "far right". Illegals living in hotels with prepaid debit cards (paid by state taxes) is not sustainable. There's a REASON legal migration has certain quotas (that can be dialed up or down). USA is a very generous country, actually the most generous, but we can't afford to help everyone that simply steps over the border demarcation. Also, as a LEGAL immigrant that went through the process, it's disheartening to see others just walking in whenever they feel like it. Lastly, it's ludicrous that ANY illegal immigrant with ANY law violation is allowed to stay. Mind boggling. If you are not supposed to be here and you break ANY law - handcuffs and deportation without any questions.

And totally ignored my comments about illegals that break laws once already in the USA. You can surely stick to your values of "saving the planet", but then don't complain about lunatics like Trump at the steering wheel. Remember.... There's a whole young generation of Trumps in his family so the Trump "problem" isn't going anywhere.
