I never understood why working oneself to death is considered by many to be some kind of accomplishment. I'm a conservative, but I don't buy the whole work 90 hours a week virtue signaling. Now, it's different if you have a passion for what you do, because it's not really like "work." Yes, you should work to meet your individual goals in life, but working smart is better than working yourself to death.

 @frostblood887 It seems to me that working oneself to death is some kind of virtue signaling. If someone is working 80 a week, when do they find time to enjoy the fruits of their labor?

I actually kind of agree with her. The US has the longest work week and the fewest vacation days of all developed nations.

@sbffsbrarbrr Life can throw you curveballs. I had everything I could have ever wanted, and in matter of two years, I lost it all due to unforseen happenstance. I was on my way to retiring at 50 a multimillionaire.
