  6. It's really difficult to say. It's possible keeping him in the prone position for that period of time contributed to his death, but then so did the drugs.

  7. But did keeping him in the prone position for that period of time contribute to the effects of the drugs? If a person's breathing is already affected by a drug overdose, putting them face down on the ground with their arms behind their back could exacerbate respiratory and cardiac distress.

  8. I almost died from an asthma attack and I was still able to verbalize. Had Chauvin just turned Floyd on his side, his death wouldn't have been questioned.

  9. The knee wasn't the issue, it was the prone position with his cuffed hands pulled behind his back putting pressure on his chest. That position, along with the drug overdose, is what killed him.

  10. I don't think Chauvin is 100% innocent, because he was negligent by keeping the suspect in the prone position for longer than necessary while he was saying he had trouble breathing. That being said, Chauvin should have gotten, at most, a one year sentence. I'd actually say he should have gotten just 90 days.
