@ashlibabbitt1111 He said there was a standing order, that's all that's necessary. Trump doesn't have to follow the same declassification process as everyone else. But whether they were classified or not is irrelevant.

@ashlibabbitt1111 I thought it was a 100? Yes, so what? He has the authority to view them and they are secured and guarded by the secret service. The FBI and NARA visited his home twice, but instead of taking those documents (Trump offered), they asked the Secret Service to add additional security, and that's what they did.

@ashlibabbitt1111 Who creates the process to classify/declassify documents? Please study what derived authority from vested power means, that should answer your question as to why the president does not have to follow a process. The only documents the president cannot declassify without following an established process are those which are classified by US statute.

@ashlibabbitt1111 The president can't just think about declassification and not tell anyone. The president can't do a lot of things, so I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make.

@ashlibabbitt1111 He has witnesses which claim he had a standing order, and the president will get the benefit of the doubt. There is also a declassification memo that declassified all documents related to Crossfire Hurricane, and if that's what the FBI seized, there is written documentation.

@ashlibabbitt1111 The FBI and NARA had zero authority to do what they did, and they know this; they know Trump can't be arrested or sued over this, so it's clear it's just a political attack in an attempt to make him un-electable. It's obvious and everyone sees it.
