  7. ​ @bparagal Nope. Sorry. A person isn't convicted until the judge enters the verdict on the "judgement of conviction" document, which is done at sentencing. The verdict can still be vacated prior to sentencing, and that's why he's not technically a felon.

At this point, the individual is officially considered a felon. Until this process is complete and the judgment is entered, a person is not considered a felon under the law.
