In addition, the laws we have now grant the president the authority to suspend immigration when it's in the vital interests of the nation.

The president must have the authority to act quickly in the interests of national security. Our founders likely never envisioned a president who would seek to aid and abet an invasion. Furthermore, even if laws were passed, that doesn't mean he would enforce them. He doesn't enforce the ones we have now.

  12. Even if that were true, it's still high. Average annual inflation rate since Jan 2021 is 18%. The price of food is over 22% higher.

  16.  @InvestIntelShorts  That's a bunch of political gobbledygook. The real world doesn't work that way. The gangs/cartels is the problem. In any case, economic hardship is not a valid asylum claim. First, you secure the border, then you deal with root causes. Exporting our own principles and values to other countries always ends in failure. The gang problem needs to be addressed...like El Salvador is doing. The wall doesn't need to cover the entire border, because there are natural obstructions. The border wall was never supposed to serve as a panacea to the problem, but as a force multiplier in a muti-layered border security apparatus. Not having a border wall is such a ridiculous idea.

El Salvador is cracking down on crime, the other countries can do the same. It's time to stop putting the responsibility of the world's problems on the United States' shoulders And I don't agree with your assertion in regards to the cost of securing the border. You are missing key factors.
