@YoMommaMan Because those people are racists. When you have so many elected representatives who view everything through the lens of race, then racism will cannot die.

@@draperscott7698 All countries have their sins. Why did Africa sell their own people to begin with? If slaves weren't for sale, they couldn't have been purchased. Did America profit off of slavery? Sure, a little bit, but it accounted for just 5% of GDP.

@YoMommaMan I don't agree. There will always be some amount of racism due to human nature, but it's dangerous and destructive for elected representatives to use the bully pulpit to spread lies about it. It really is time for people to stop blaming racism for their problems.
