@fertilerevitilizer7833 The wall was meant to serve as one part of a multi-layered border security approach. It is a force multiplier...meaning it slows down illegal crossings to increase the required response time. The wall works only when the immigration laws are being followed and "migrants" aren't being incentivized to come here.

I think Abbott is scared of Biden and Garland. He could declare an invasion as defined by Article 10 of the Constitution. Upon declaring an invasion, he could deploy the NG to use force in securing the border.

@freedomfirst9819 I have read it and it didn't seem very complicated to me. We have millions of unvetted people coming from over 100 different nations, many are gang members, violent criminals, and terrorists. Violent drug cartels are in charge of large sections of the border. An open border represents a grave national security threat, and any person who has taken an oath to the Constitution is duty-bound to defend our nation's borders.
