@promethiac2641 Artificially forcing a switch to renewable energy will cause immense economic upheaval, as we are now witnessing, and it will only get worse. The free market must be allowed to work organically to mitigate long lasting damage to the economy.

@jonathanp1884 Using hydrogen to supplement gasoline in a combustion engine can achieve better than 42MPG. And you're forgetting all the direct and indirect costs of owning and manufacturing EVs. What about the materials to build those batteries? Who makes them? From where does the cobalt come?
