I'm going to laugh if SCOTUS says Trump is immune.

@scottheinze5303 You're forgetting that Trump was already acquitted for the same "crime" during impeachment.
12
@GeorgeBuster I agree. It is unknown. My personal opinion is that if someone was impeached and acquitted, they should be immune from future prosecution.

Why should he subject himself to cross examination when he already has multiple grounds for appeal. It was about being smart, not about worrying about perjury. You people need to start thinking without applying so much emotion.
5
Wow. I triggered a lot of Marixsts with that comment.
5
He's not picking the date. Duh.
5
@half-breed No. Unlike leftists, I will accept the ruling, but I will be disappointed. There are far more important things to actually cry about.
4
@MikeHart72 January 6th impeachment. Remember?
4
@corit8976 No judge found him guilty of insurrection. No judge can find him guilty of insurrection without a criminal trial.
3
We already know who he is. Three years of competent and beneficial leadership followed by a year of a novel pandemic that he dealt with pretty well given the circumstances.
2
@Opinionsrnotfacts574 I do thank him.
2
@MikeHart72 Read the court filing, it is explained.
2
Nonsense.
1
@listlessvessels5Trump can't do that. Stop being stupid.
1
@listlessvessels5He was acquitted by the rules of impeachment. A criminal trial requires a unanimous ruling, so the bar is even lower.
1
Nah
1
They will try to * him. I hope he has very good personal security beyond the Secret Service.
1
@half-breed Alternative electors are perfectly legal when the election is contested. They have been used before and will no doubt be used again. Study history so you're better informed.
1
@davids.2703 What's he being prosecuted for?
1
Nah
1
@listlessvessels5I don't accept the results of the 2020 election because our concerns were not addressed by those who had the authority to investigate. We had Bill Barr lie to us saying he investigated and found no evidence.
1
Because a 98% democrat jury will find him guilty regardless of the evidence.
1
@MikeHart72 Read the filing. I'm not going to regurgitate already available information. If you really want to know, you would make the effort to inform yourself.
1
@PatootysManyMisadvetures I don't think that would mean he's above the law, only that he was already acquitted after an impeachment trial. Do you ever point out the egregious double standards of justice? The DOJ is treating Joe Biden like he's as pure as Deer Park water.
1
@MonsieurTarzan-g3m What are you talking about? There was a trial in the Senate and he was acquitted.
1
@MrDaddyofseven Both are tied to the Constitution. Both meet the Constitutional standards of due process. Nobody knows how it's going to turn out because t's new legal territory...the arguments on both sides make valid points.
1
@MonsieurTarzan-g3m Like I said, it's new legal territory. Everything is just an opinion until there is a ruling.
1
No.
1
What? A witch-hunt?
1
That's false.
1
@MaggiesNight No I don't. You're just parroting what the media told you.
1
Would I want a convicted criminal running the country? My answer is maybe. It depends.
1
I guess that's all the evidence we need. Trump wants to delay the trial, therefore, he's guilty. 🤔
1
Incorrect.
1
If you voted for Biden, you voted for a wannabe dictator.
