Well, 70 hour weeks are a bit extreme for most people. There is a life outside of work.

@vivalarazausarmyvet4453 I don't think $180K/year is low paying. Maybe to a neurosurgeon, yes, but not the average person.

It just may be that many don't pay enough. The contractor in this story is obviously extremely wealthy, sounds like he doesn't want to sacrifice a little bit of his wealth to keep his business running.

@GoldenRetrevFam Many of us refuse to work for the federal government.

Ok. Who cares?

@nick6.0wen Not at all. I work hard for my toys, but I also made sure I have balance. Seventy hour weeks is work and sleep. But if work is what you love to do and makes you happy, I'm all for it. For me, I experienced in my 20s what most people wait until their 50s and 60s to enjoy.

@rayrojas5185 Make yourself look as young as possible. I have lucky genes in that I look very young for my age.

@SteverRob What time do you have to spend quality time with your friends and family if you're constantly working?

@doctorgeneral4239 You make $250K+ as a plumber? If you really did pull that off, more power to you, but I know I won't be hiring you if I need a plumber. 😉

@susankitchin325 But how do they know your age before they see you?

Why?

Unions are bad for employees and employers. They are nothing but a grift to enrich the people who run them.

@davidclark573 He didn't. The economy was coming back after covid until Biden got his grubby hands on it.

MO That's why I don't put dates for education and only provide 10 to 15 years of experience.
1
@susankitchin325 Don't list the date.

@indianlarry6105 Other than the federal elections, it was a red wave.
1
@Oso_Judah Why do you care. His skin color is irrelevant.

So the contractor is extremely wealthy. I would suggest just paying his employees a lot more to get through until 2025.
