Agreed. It's easy to tell elderly men to put themselves on the front lines when you're 5000 miles away and you know you will never be in the line of fire.

@zgtuckahoe7958 The mineral deal is a security guarantee. Why you all fail to understand this is, frankly, bewildering. If we have interests in Ukraine and American civilians in Ukraine, the US will protect those interests. Russia attacking US civilians would be an act of war, and the full weight of the US military would then be on the table, and I guarantee that is something Putin is not willing to risk. You need to learn a little about geopolitical maneuvering. Zelensky made a big mistake. The only mistake Donald Trump made was not clearly articulating those points, but I'm pretty sure the state department already explained to him how it would work.

@zgtuckahoe7958 Trump will stand up to Putin when the issue is serious enough to do so. Until that time, it is unwise to ruffle the feathers with a country that has more nuclear weapons than you do. Do you hear Putin talking trash about Donald Trump? No. Mutual respect between two adversaries is something that should be leveraged to further detente, and both Putin and Trump understand this. Zelensky is like a child having a temper tantrum because daddy wouldn't give him a cookie.
