Without the EC, only densely populated democrat cities would decide elections. One primary purpose of the electoral college is to require candidates to appeal to the largest cross section of the country's interests. The US is not a mob rule democracy.

Likewise, everyone has the right to due process prior to executing certain provisions in the Constitution. It's ignorance like yours that we are losing the country. Everyone should have a basic understanding of the Constitution, how federalism works, and how our federal and state governments work.
