That kind of composure is crucial for safety and coordination. Calling someone a “gentleman” in that context is like saying “the suspect” or “the individual”, it’s not a moral endorsement. It’s professional restraint; a sign the officer is staying grounded and focused instead of letting emotion cloud the situation.
