@lukegianni They are not supposed to be released into the interior of the country until their claim is heard in court. Most don't have legitimate asylum claims, they are here for free stuff or economic purposes.

@lukegianni They are not being housed under federal supervision, as required by law. Past data shows that approximately 80% of all asylum claims are false. Economic hardship is not a valid justification for asylum.

@lukegianni I'm talking about the open border in the general sense. As far as the 50 migrants, I don't know them and neither do you. Who knows if border and customers even did a check. The security of the border is under the exclusive purview of the federal government unless it becomes derelict in its duty. The states always have the right to defend itself in the event the federal government fails to discharge its Constitutional duty to secure the nation. States are sovereign entities, they are not subjects of the federal government.

@lukegianni Why are you defending an invasion into our country? I mean, you can try to pretty it up all you want, but the reality is that the border is wide open, drugs, terrorists, and criminals are crossing over, people are being killed, raped, and are overdosing on drugs. Why do you seem to care about foreigners more than legal US citizens? How many is enough? If all 670 million who want to come here, come here, are you ok with that? It just seems to me that anyone who can turn a blind eye to this, must really hate America. I just don't get it, it defies common sense.

@davidliming9419 I'm speaking in general. If the federal government becomes derelict in its duties and puts the security of the states in jeopardy, of course the states have to right to make that declaration. States are sovereign entities. The Constitution is not a suicide pact.

@davidliming9419 Article 1 section 10 of the Constitution gives states the right to defend itself in the event of an invasion. The only question would be what constitutes an invasion.

Biden ignored the SCOTUS ruling to keep the remain in Mexico policy active. And from historical data, most don't have valid asylum claims. Terrorists, gang members, fentanyl, etc are freely entering our country, it must be stopped.

@lukegianni No, it doesn't, it has to do with asylum seekers. That's why Trump used remain in Mexico for asylum seekers instead of releasing or detaining them. From an article during the Trump era: "To address the unprecedented flow of families across the Southwest border, the Trump administration on Wednesday announced regulations that will allow families to be detained together, pending disposition of their immigration hearings. The goal is to end "catch and release." Asylum-seeking families will no longer be released into the United States with a promise to appear in immigration court -- promises that are mostly not kept, Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan noted."

@narutobullock It's not a game. Sanctuary cities wanted migrants, so the governor sent them there to be taken care of. Governors of states which are not sanctuaries should not have to put up with Biden's illegal open border policy.
