  3.  @sebcw1204  Fair enough. I'll modify my original statement. Every person who is eligible to vote either has an ID, or had an ID at some point in their lives. Getting rid of requiring an ID to vote simply because some people don't have one is dangerous in that it leads voters to question the integrity of elections.

Should the right to vote be given to people who only want free stuff, despite having no physical or mental ailments preventing them from being productive and contributing to the country? In this context, skin in the game means you are a good faith citizen who supports and defends the positive noble values upon which our society is built.

  9.  @b.c.9358  That's actually a bad idea. That's how productive and civilized societies collapse. That's why our founders wanted only men who owned land to vote, because voting should be only for those with skin in the game. And just a side note, the US is a Constitutional Republic, not Democracy.

The US is not a free for all, it is a very critical nation, and its future should not be in the hands of people who know nothing about how it works or who simply want to live off of the welfare system (unless they are legitimately in need).
