  8.  @b.41879  I never claimed there aren't medical specialties. My answer should be pretty clear. But, just to add, all medical doctors, regardless if they choose to specialize, take four years of undergrad, four years of general medicine, and three years of internship. That's 11 years of school in general medicine, so yes, doctors do have significant depth and breadth in foundational knowledge (well, good ones do, but it seems most doctors are barely competent).
