  1.  @SmartMart1658  Tesla didn't lose money on a per-unit vehicle, apart from the first maybe dozen cars they built. They were losing money due to Capex and Opex, not because the car cost more to build than it sold for. That's the critical difference. If you're losing money on every unit sold, you have a motivation to sell fewer units. That's a recipe for disaster.
