@joshkund They still got paid to wear that brand shirt and drink that brand soda and go to that amusement park or wherever. Plus, it's influencing you to have a shorter attention span. Which will affect your ability to study and concentrate.

@supsup8384 Depends how they're made. The ones with one-layer "waffle" rubber soles and leather uppers (similar to a work boot) last! The ones with a thin layer of rubber glued to a foam midsole are designed for planned obsolescence. A lot of these "expert recommendations" (throw out your lotion every 6 months, etc.) are just about getting people to buy more.
