The bad 1930s guys algorithm deletes comments if you mention similarly complained about surrealism and cubism, endorsing patriotic and home life paintings in a naturalistic style. If those paintings were displayed today, it'd be with a disclaimer attached!

The problem is not the "beauty" of the land in the art, it's that it's a propaganda depiction of an exploitative way of life. The elites (lords and ladies) owned the land and the poor were tennant farmers. This was exploitation, passed off as the will of God "natural hierarchy". Our ancestors who moved to America upended the "natural hierarchy" a.k.a. the "divine right of kings. It was then ok for a man (not woman) of humble birth to attain political power through his own efforts (meritocracy). They were still incredibly racist and the plantations were copies of the old-world hierarchy.

@sirrathersplendid4825 The names have changed, but the IDEA of the elite being somehow "better quality" people than the working class and somehow preordained to be in power is still very alive, though. I'd say it's a similar idea to the divine right of kings. ( I don't know if you've seen how people idolize guys like Elon Musk.) We have a society that's an egalitarian meritocracy in theory, but that thinks highly of idle socialites and looks down on the working poor. We may even be headed into a new age of " techno feudalism" in which serfs toil for a platform, such as Uber or Lyft. I don't think that's something "natural" or that needs to be preserved.

@Janus10001 I saw a documentary where a museum in hung a "property of museum" plaque directly over an Ancient Egyptian fertility god's junk on a wall mural! That's what used to offend the patrons.

Most people in the Middle Ages were not literate. The murals and stained glass windows made the Bible stories come alive for them.

This channel's a fascist and took my comments. I did not curse or threaten anybody.

Vegans hate McDonalds. This is not new. Plus, the Rainforest is cleared to graze cattle for cheap beef. Poor people eating low quality, fat, heavily processed food shortens lifespans. Only the elite can afford organic.
