Needles and thread are available at any Walmart or Dollar store.

I guess you're not aware Pelosi was arguing to get the average Joe MORE stimulus money? Wear your mask and keep social distancing so you don't get your family sick.

HEPA FILTER MATERIAL is closest to hospital grade! Use HEPA filter vacuum cleaner bag or HVAC filter material to sew your mask! Cloth is a last resort!

Masks protect doctors and nurses so they will protect you if you wear them correctly. HEPA FILTER MATERIAL is closest to hospital grade! Use HEPA filter vacuum cleaner bag or HVAC filter material to sew your mask! Cloth is a last resort! You can wash your filter mask by shaking it inside a wide mouth jar with BOILING water, detergent and bleach, then let it drip dry if you are going to reuse the mask. This reduces wear and tear on the mask while killing germs. You can clean disposable masks such as the N95 the same way.

If @planetearth1705 had actually worked as a nurse or doctor she would know that PPE is crucial for halting the spread of MRSA, VRE, E-coli and other antibiotic resistant diseases. N95 masks have been used for years in hospitals to protect staff working with patients with active TB (airborne particles).

@Chris-i4g I had a stockpile of N95s prior to 2020. Using them in public places kept me in good health. I got Pf|z€r #1 and #2 and a booster prior to the ∆ wave, nothing more after that. Like most viruses, it evolved to be less deadly but easier to spread over time.

HEPA FILTER MATERIAL PROTECTS YOU BETTER! Use material from a vacuum cleaner bag or HVAC filter as at least one of your layers. Change to a new mask when damp. Remove masks by the ties without touching the front of the mask ( which is dirtiest). Drop the mask into a wide mouth jar, add boiling water , detergent and bleach, screw on the lid and shake to launder if you are going to re-use it. Allow the mask to drip dry. You can also wash store bought disposable masks including the N95 this way for multiple uses. Be careful not to contaminate surfaces with the worn masks and be aware that they will wear down eventually and filter less effectively. Washing and re-using masks is not ideal but is preferable to going around with a bare face trusting others to keep their distance.

Adjust the wire at the top of your mask so that it is snug across the bridge of your nose and you are getting your air THROUGH the mask not around the sides of your nose. ABSOLUTELY wear a mask in your position. You need several masks so that you can change when they get damp ( become less effective). When you put one on, adjust the wire so that it wraps snug across the bridge of your nose and tie it securely so it is not sliding around. When you take one off, handle it by the ties or elastics only, without touching the front of the mask ( dirty part).

You're in a high risk position. Doctors and nurses wear masks for 12 hour shifts. You need to bring extras so you can change them when they get damp or soiled.

Irresponsible, common sense-free, self-centered behavior serves to justify the growth of the "mommy state" . Behave like a responsible adult and stop depending on others to keep you healthy.

@planetearth1705 is deliberately lying and spreading disinformation. Doctors and nurses use masks and gloves everyday to reduce the spread of disease. N95 masks were already being used in hospitals for aresolized infections such as active tuberculosis.

@veryfrugalts Don't know what the situation is in your area. Just checked, walmart.com has them. So should Amazon and probably Wish and all those online merchants. Dollar General and Dollar Tree usually have little sewing kits. Maybe call ahead and check.
