  1. It's not to the advantage of a virus to kill the host because it needs the host's cells to reproduce. A really deadly virus wouldn't be able to spread as fast because the host would die before the virus could make too many copies of itself, while a milder variant that didn't kill the host would be able to make way more copies of itself, spread more, and outcompete more deadly variants. So, as viruses evolve, they tend to get easier to spread but less deadly to the host.

Last year, a neighbor of mine was in the hospital with pneumonia for two weeks. Viruses are still out there and they're going to keep evolving. You're not required to be rational or take any precautions. You sound pretty determined to keep your head in the sand and pretend worldwide pandemics are "made up" just to keep you from voting for mayor.
