Hard working people! Seems like whoever owns the place and the govt. should get together and harvest the methane gas. It's free energy.

@genericscout5408 I don't know where you got your numbers, but are you sure you're not thinking in terms of first world costs? Labor and materials are way cheaper in the developing world. Secondly, even if startup costs are high, as long as the trash keeps coming, the methane keeps forming, so at some point the project would pay for itself.

@genericscout5408 Thailand has industry. I think you're underestimating those guys, clearly they're driving excavators and somebody's maintaining them. Their biogas setup doesn't need to be the latest high tech. It could be just putting compostables and water into a digester ( sort of like a long air mattress with an in pipe and an out pipe and a hose connected to the highest point of the balloon) and piping the gas off. Once the first unit had paid for itself, the profits could go toward the purchase of a second unit and so on.
