That's not accurate. Feminism isn't against women choosing to stay home. It's against women being TRAPPED in abusive relationships where they must obey the master because they have no income.(And no job skills other than child care, cooking, and cleaning which are not highly valued in terms of pay.)

@danielteklemariam9051 Having a male boss isn't a problem in itself. Being trapped in an ABUSIVE situation is the problem, regardless of the boss' gender. Let's compare an abusive boss to an abusive husband. With the boss, the female employee has wages that she can save/invest. She has marketable job skills and something to tide her over should she have to change jobs. With a controlling, abusive husband, she might have to leave with just the clothes on her back, plus she has no job skills besides keeping house. " Women's work" isn't highly valued in the job market.

@novemberalpha6023 So the housewife isn't even "entitled" to compensation for her labor in the form of room and board? She must be grateful? As far as "makeups", that's a chore that the wife performs for the benefit of her husband. Also, it's not always the case that the husband is blameless for his wife's lack of job skills. In traditional societies, an older man picks a younger woman who's never worked or lived on her own, then says "no wife of mine is going to work!"

Do you want to penalize retirees who live off their investments? Then don't complain when they keep their jobs and there aren't enough for you! Those tax savings could be YOURS if you had the self discipline to save and invest.

@BOZ_11 You're not being realistic with your "budget" A working woman isn't going to have the time to be baking, sewing and knitting the family's clothes, scrubbing them by hand and pinning them on the clothesline. Labor saving devices and convenience foods get bought. People get hired. Besides, women buy houses and cars and mutual funds just like you do. The jobs they create are the same ones you create.
