There are more low skilled migrant workers than there are jobs for them in the USA. A lot of these guys migrating strictly for better jobs would never be let in if they did things legally because there's just no demand for their services. The political asylum guys are a different story. They are let in and don't become "illegal" unless they skip their hearings.

@dancalmpeaceful3903 There's always going to be a criminal element that crosses borders to avoid being caught, but that works both ways. Are you not able to identify with someone making sacrifices to better their life?
