That's not saying much. Actresses' careers are traditionally "over" at 40, while senior citizen actors get cast in ridiculous action roles along side actresses that could be their granddaughters.

@Dargonhuman That last lady has a point, though. Plus, Hollywood is all about power. Complaining about abuse or harassment backfires and gets the victim labeled as having a bad attitude. You don't do it when your career is going well, you do it later when there's not so much to lose.

It's kind of hypocritical to say "she can't be that bothered, she's laughing" when your own job is cracking jokes and laughing about stuff you're mad about. Lots of people laugh when stressed or crack jokes about things as a defense mechanism, but there are also people who can't tell real joyful laughter from nervous laughter.

Happened a long time ago is not the same as didn't happen.There's a lot of sick stuff in the entertainment industry still swept under the carpet. That last lady has a point. @jenni0278 Everybody screws up at something sooner or later. Reprimanding someone in a professional manner is one thing, but "tearing them a new one" is not only rude but counterproductive, because it sends the employee into fight or flight mode, which makes them distracted from the work.
