Get rid of pensions?! Hasn't it hit you that YOU'RE going to age, too? Maybe your kids will blame you for everything just like you try to pin the world's problems on "the boomers". Ironically, when the boomers were in their twenties, they had a similar attitude to you. There was even a slogan " never trust anyone over 30".

@aeishthnyda Culture drives behavior even if there's no written law. Japanese women are expected to stay home with the kids once they have them. That's the tradition. They're not going to come put you in jail if you keep working but you'll be seen as negligent and greedy.

@AndrewTheMandrew531 What happens to those who can't have kids, or whose kids die before they do? Or those whose kids can't be bothered? Senior apartments, hospitals and nursing homes aren't going to donate their time and space. Look at the countries who don't have a social safety net. You'd be lucky to get a dirty cot to drop dead on.
