  1. That was so foolish to put $1000.00 into cleaning and painting a property she didn't own without getting anything in writing! They should have stayed in the smaller cheaper rent house until they had saved for a down payment on a home of their own. She says something about owing $650.00 for the rent, so did she spend $1000.00 plus all that elbow grease to save $650.00? Something doesn't add up.
