at least eastern europe as an excuse for why its so bad and the other countries in the region like Poland are catching up with western Europe. but south America made almost no improvement in the last 200 years

Ok but a lot of people still identify with their country of origin like i have seen 80 year old Italians who lived here since the end of ww2 and they still act like Italians

@JoeWithTheHoesBiden Yea but then Argentina didn't improve. a lot of regions around the world got richer especially in more recent decades. like in 1960 Argentina was no longer considered rich but it was doing well compared to south Korea. right now south Korea is doing way better than Argentina Argentina is not much poorer as it was in 1960. but there are way more countries now that are richer .so Argentina seems like a really bad country now and there is no sign of improvement

They are increasing the retirement age a lot here in western europe my grandpa already retired at 55 my dad can only retire at 67 .at this rate people my age will probably still be working at age 70 my grandparents used to babysit me a lot when my parents where working .my grandma was still working when i was 4 years old but if they had to work as long as my parents generation they couldn't do that. i had to go to daycare or have some dodgy teenage babysitter instead.

@@kam7800 meh in the 1980s kids in brazil where already playing video games. people in vietnam didn't even know what a video game was until the 2000s.

@BM-ub9gh my grandpa was a truck driver my other grandpa worked in a car factory and my grandma worked in an office.

@BM-ub9gh i think their pensions are high since the economy was pretty good for most of their lives. apart from their childhoods during ww2 and the first 10 years after that. but by the time they where 20 we had become rich again.

@BM-ub9gh live expectancy has not changed much. a lot of people lived to over 100 even in the pre industrial age. but childhood mortality was high .

@deadlymecury Its a European thing. people in Scandinavia do this all the time too despite being rich .but its rare to see people in asia doing this.

@deadlymecury maybe but I think it's different. if you go to Japan and say bad things about the country people will hate you and you can get into trouble. and if you do that in Thailand you won't even survive for long.
