Internet censorship is on the rise in many countries. here in western Europe there used to be no internet censorship. but now they are blocking more and more stuff every year. vpns are useful for getting past region blocking so there is a huge vpn goldrush. but the corporations don't want to admit that there is a lot more censorship now. so they make up the privacy story
