Well in the early 2000s media was just less hysterical about events like this when 9/11 happened you did have some virtue signalling for about a month but it stopped very quickly now if just one guy dies random corporations are obsessed with it for almost a entire year we live in a totally different age just to test this i used they way back machine to go back to September 12 of 2001 on the biggest websites of the era there where some mentions of 9/11 but then i went to October of 2001 and there was already more celebrity gossip than 9/11 stuff and by the end of 2001 only dedicated news sites where talking about it and not that much compare that to modern issues like Ukraine they have been talking about for months and not slowing down i see Ukraine flags everywhere and stuff like the George Floyd thing has also huge for like 6 months and that ways just about 1 guy.

Yea i had like 10 tv channels but only 2 of them actually did news you had a bunch of news papers the internet was brand new i did not use it much yet also the mentality changes go to the way back machine to 2001 and go to the popular non news websites in late 2001 and you wont find a lot of mentions of 9/11 and it was a big deal but if you go on the modern internet you will see Ukraine everywhere but this also happens for more minor things like George Floyd they where talking about it for many months and by they i don't mean the news i mean like Coca-Cola and ford they never did that kind of stuff when something bad happened in 2001 even for 9/11.
