  1.  @celtosaxon  it depends on the country but if you live in a west european country with welfare system the only way this can happen is if you waste the money. in america you don't have a welfare system so you can go broke and not be able to afford a house because of bad luck and in many poorer countries it can be a problem too. but you do need to watch out since the cheapest neighbourhoods sometimes have issues with certain neighbours causing big problems even if the homes themselves are fine.
