Maybe people shouldn't rely on twitter for such important things .

@johnwinter2252 What are you talking about? the comment is 1 sentence. You must be looking hard for errors to point out.

@undefinedchannel9916 It was better in the past but it was always a bad concept .with the 160 character limit .even in the early 2000s they could have much more .so its not a technical limit and just a gimmick that overstayed its welcome .

@andrewhooper7603 it used to be bad too 160 characters is not enough .and you can't blame it on technical limitations

@joeykeilholz925 Why are you nit picking so much .

@MiseRaen They do but a lot of people aren't using it anymore .

@AlenAbdula there are a lot of ways to get the warnings. they have text messaging official government websites and so on .i guess if twitter goes offline for a long time people will just stare at the error screen 24/7 instead of trying something else. but these people need to adapt because its not a good and reliable platform .

@EnnayXIX i am 28 and i genuinely have no idea how or why Twitter became popular its bad even by early 2000s standards i heard it was for flip phones first so that explains why its so limited .but they could upgrade but i never liked it .all i know is that everyone started using it for unknown reasons around 2010. and it became so popular it dominated search results. and now if i want something all i get is twitter results. back in the day i only used my phone for calling and playing snake and taking low quality pictures.

@shortcat They had their official app and with something as major as this they will end text messages to everyone and have alarms playing everywhere .but some smaller organisations only use twitter for info that is important .but not quite as important as this . like when there are big technical issues with a factory or other infrastructure.
