@sziklamester i tried to get into metin because romanians recommended it to me and i am trying to learn it .but the game wasn't very fun maybe it was better when it came out a lot of mmos got bad around 2010 because of some bad trends like pay2win .and making things too easy i was a big runescape fan the game made metin look high tech. it was very popular in the Netherlands northern Europe and Baltic states but not in the Balkan .probably because of the language barrier .but after they made a big mistake in 2012 they made old school runescape and its good .but most mmos are too stubborn like when they made wow classic they added a lot of the bad changes back in. unlike most people i got way more free time now than in high school in the 2000s but the mmos have mostly gone downhill .quite annoying i wish i played more back in the day. i also got into gulid wars 2 recently it was fun but its not my favourite. but i noticed wow ripped off guild wars 2 withy the legion expansion.

pc was too expensive compared to consoles at first but the games are cheap or free and Nintendo only cared about north America and japan sega and PlayStation were less annoying. but before windows xp came out games would require very high end hardware for the time and they made a new version of windows every year that was quite bloated .even before that time pcs wouldn't have sound cards and had bad graphics because they were focussed on business but back then nobody had time for this in the balkan anyway

you really had to be rich to own that less than 10% of the population in the usa and western Europe had a computer in the 80s and the zx spectrum was quite good

@dannyboy-vtc5741 seems like Yugoslavia was kind of like modern china or Vietnam were its says its communist but its not. i know they had a lot of commercials on tv too. but in the other east block countries they didn't have any of that stuff .

i was in the Balkan in 2007 and i played some 90s arcade games there like metal slug and killer instinct. this sounds quite bad for 2007 but a few years earlier i was in laos and over there the locals had never seen a video game before they didn't know what a game boy was so being 10 years behind is a lot better than being 50 years behind and i had a great time. the games you showed in this video was mostly the same stuff i played back then many were actually too high end for my pc. like they could afford a pc that could run wow and have non dial up internet but not the subscription seems odd unless this was 2016 or something. generally if you had a pc with internet before 2008 you were doing well when YouTube came out you didn't have any people form very poor countries like India but plenty from the Balkan and south America .but nowadays you got a lot of people from every country online even in dr Congo 25% of the population has internet now while in 2007 it was less than 1% and soon it will be everyone i think in rich countries had about 80% had internet in 2007 while in the Balkan probably 50ish % now its 99% in pretty much all of Europe.
