That reminds me of when i went to the Balkan with my dad in Germany the roads were great but there was a traffic jam in Austria we almost got arrested for parking our car and sleeping. and then in the Balkan it was weird because the road wasn't bad but back then the biggest road in all of Croatia was this small 2 lane road .the culture reminds me of Italy with unhinged drivers but Italian roads have a higher quality .but i didn't really care back then because a few years earlier i went to Laos were the roads were just mud. we would always get stuck in the mud and there were dangerous cliffs and other dangers. there my dad didn't even dare to drive there he got a local to drive for us since it was way too dangerous and you need to know what kind of obstacles you may encounter there were also 10 year olds driving i don't think you needed a drivers licence in laos back then most people there just drive scooters because they couldn't afford cars (this happened in the 2000s i think its better now)
