  1. very cool my surname is French and it was made up in the 1790s because napoleon forced everyone to get a surname. it seems like most people didn't have one here before that period or would have used other regional systems. some people thought the concept of a surname was weird or not permanent so they picked weird joke names. its cool that Scottish people can trace things back this far .

I noticed i have similar sleep problems to my dad but my grandparents and mom always wake up super early in the past there was almost nothing going on at night so it makes sense that they have this habit. i have found a technique to get me to wake up earlier but its basically just ruining one day by waking up way too early so i can spend the next week or 2 waking up at normal hours .i am privileged and i can usually choose when i wake up when i used to go to school/work i often had sleeping problems because there was a bunch of stuff i wanted to do but didn't have time and that gave me stress. now i sleep well but if i don't use this technique i always end up sleeping later and later until i end up going to sleep at the same hour i woke up at 10 days earlier .but i like this because i can't decide what is the most interesting time to be awake for a long time the mornings were super boring but now that doesn't really matter but i wish the days were just longer.

  6. its probably because the snow makes it easier to see stuff at night Europe had more forests and clouds making it harder
