  1. i used to think this was bogus but i noticed one minor thing the Mayans had serval words for year but the word tun means year in the Mayan long count calendar. this sounds similar to the word for year in many Austronesian languages like Indonesian tahun Tagalog taon and Maori tau .but it could just be just a coincidence i don't know Mayan and i only have very basic Indonesian and Tagalog skills.

  2. i wonder why there weren't any Asian civilizations that tried to explore and conquer the Kuril and Aleut islands and discover America like that .because it seems easy the native people were less advanced but could travel between the islands .
